Michael Castaldo is the Borgata Winter Poker Open - Event #8 - Deep Stack NL Champion. So how did Michael survive two days and win every one of the 15,475,000 chips from the 619 starting players? 'Yesterday I got pocket aces three times in seven hands and they held up every time with people betting into me' explained Michael. A few tables over, I encounter a gentleman by the name of Iverson Cotton Snuffer. Snuffer, who looks like a jazz musician, is roughly the same age as Luske and holding court over a table of young-un’s. He complains that the 11 a.m. Start times (after 12 hours on the felt) unfairly favor poker youth.

Cotton Snuffer Poker Set
Saad Ghanem won the Black Chip Bounty nightly tournament last night, beating a field of 93 entrants and collecting 8 bounties along the way. His hot streak continues into this event. He said he doubled up early in the day and has been steadily “chipping up”. Saad already has three cashes in January of this year, so his year is off to a great start as well. He’s got numerous prior cashes here at Borgata, but has yet to claim a title in a trophy event.
Iverson ‘Cotton’ Snuffer (Milton, MV)
The other player up to ~700,000 is Iverson ‘Cotton’ Snuffer, also known as ‘Heisenberg’ for his resemblance to the Walter White character in Breaking Bad — when he’s wearing his pork pie hat.
Cotton has one Borgata Open title from the Winter series two years ago. He took down the $350 Big Stack NLH event for $63,882. With lifetime earnings near $357,000, he’s a threat in any field.
